After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westlake, Basile was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Oberlin Tigers 18-3. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bearcats as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Basile's win bumped their record up to 8-10-2. As for Oberlin, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Basile will be playing at home against Hathaway at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oberlin, they will head out to challenge Lacassine at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.92 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
