Staunton and Dupo are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. Staunton will head out on the road to challenge Dupo at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Staunton will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
On Monday, Staunton beat Roxana 4-1.

03/17/25 @ Nokomis | 2 |
Grace Burris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lilly Bandy, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Chloe Reynolds also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Staunton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roxana only posted a batting average of .192.
Meanwhile, while Dupo put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for East St. Louis. Dupo was the clear victor by a 19-0 margin over East St. Louis. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
Kaitlynn Townsend looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Kylie Kloess was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Keara Prater, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Staunton pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Dupo, their record now sits at 2-0.
Everything went Staunton's way against Dupo in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Staunton made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Staunton since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
