Dobie won the last time they faced Sam Rayburn and things went their way  on Friday too. The Longhorns were the clear victors by  a  17-1 margin over the Texans. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won ten matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Vanessa De La Fuente looked comfortable as she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 On the hitting side,  Persephone Soria was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alexis Martinez, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Dobie  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in eight consecutive  contests.
Dobie has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Sam Rayburn, they dropped their record down to 5-20 with the  loss, which was their third straight  at home.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dobie will host Alvin  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so the Longhorns' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sam Rayburn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pasadena Memorial  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
