The Forrest Rockets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Moore County Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forrest will be strutting in after a win while Moore County will be coming in after a defeat.
Forrest can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Cornersville 51-31.
Forrest had a senior duo take command as Ben Villazon scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Brayson McCown scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Villazon has scored at least 25% of Forrest's points. Another player making a difference was Kelley Toombs, who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, Moore County took a serious blow against Summertown on Friday, falling 83-39. Moore County has not had much luck with Summertown recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 1-6.
Forrest came up short against Moore County in their previous matchup back in January, falling 43-35. Can Forrest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
