Lake View is 2-8 against Hannah-Pamplico since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Lake View Wild Gators will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders at 8:15 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Lake View sitting on four straight wins and Hannah-Pamplico on three.
Last Monday, Lake View didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lamar, but they still walked away with a 41-36 win.
Lake View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Ray, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ray has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Camden Umphries, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Hannah-Pamplico ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They slipped by Green Sea Floyds 59-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Tylin Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Shamar Eaddy was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Lake View's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.
