Wyoming East is a perfect 8-0 against Mount View since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warriors will face off against the Golden Knights at 5:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Wyoming East will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Woodrow Wilson, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Warriors came out on top against the Flying Eagles by a score of 13-10 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Kaydee Shrewsbury was excellent, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Alivia Monroe also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Wyoming East kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Mount View had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They blew past the Bulldogs 11-3. Considering the Golden Knights have won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Phoebe Dudgeon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Shiann Carter and Ry'Anna Hood did most of the damage at the plate: Carter went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Hood went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Malayah Barnes was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Mount View's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Wyoming East, their record now sits at 4-8.
Wyoming East took their win against Mount View when the teams last played on April 8th by a conclusive 11-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
