The Altamont Longhorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 65-41 walloping at the hands of Rich. Altamont was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-14.
Rich was led to victory by Jaden Desch and Carter Hoffman. Desch scored 14 points, while Hoffman scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Hoffman scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Muirbrook, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Altamont bumped their record down to 3-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Rich, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Altamont will take on Manila at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rich won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wendover at 5:30 p.m. on January 20th. Wendover is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 13 games.
