It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cardinal Hayes Cardinals had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They took down the Red Raiders 40-22. The victory was familiar territory for Cardinal Hayes who now have seven in a row.
Despite the loss, St. Francis still got an impressive performance from Terrence Pendergrass, who rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 61 receiving yards.
Even if they lost, St. Francis' defensive line sure didn't make it easy: Cardinal Hayes' QB was sacked four times before it was all said and done. Michael Harris was especially locked on to Cardinal Hayes' QB and sacked him twice.
