The Community Charter Titans will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Middle College Cougars at 3:00 p.m. on February 7th.
After soaring to 26 goals the game before, Community Charter were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Triumph Charter.
Community Charter's goal came courtesy of
Jeffery Contreras, who's now up to 26 this season.
Meanwhile, Middle College had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.7 goals), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They beat Animo South Los Angeles by a goal, winning 2-1. That's two games straight that Middle College has won by exactly one goal.
Community Charter's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2-3. As for Middle College, they pushed their record up to 8-5-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Community Charter took their victory against Middle College in their previous meeting back in February of 2015 by a conclusive 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Community Charter since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
