Seaford has been on the road for four straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Pocomoke Warriors at 8:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Seaford earned a 69-60 win over Laurel.
Meanwhile, Pocomoke unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 83-65 bruising from Colonel Richardson.
Despite the loss, Pocomoke saw an underclassman step up: Jamir Roberts scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Roberts is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zymiere Walker, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Seaford pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.6 points per game. As for Pocomoke, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-1.
