Make it five blowout wins for the Pine Hill Warriors this season. They put the hurt on Ramah with a sharp 47-21 win on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Pine Hill has posted since December 12, 2023.
Pine Hill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Virances Martinez out in front who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Natan, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Pine Hill and bumps their season record up to 7-6. As for Ramah, they bumped their record down to 2-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Hill will take on Hozho Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Hozho Academy is ranked 111th, while Pine Hill is ranked 92nd). As for Ramah, Ramah and Navajo Pine will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Navajo Pine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.
