The Thomasville Bulldogs were the 48-41 winner over the Brooks County Trojans when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Thomasville took a 56-40 bruising from Brooks County on Tuesday. Thomasville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Thomasville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kennedy Hayes, who scored nine points along with six steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhaniya Wilson, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brooks County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Imani Hall, who scored 20 points along with two steals. Hall is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rah'Asia Frazier, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Thomasville's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Brooks County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thomasville on the road again on Thursday and play against Brookwood at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. Brookwood will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. As for Brooks County, they will head out on the road to square off against Pelham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pelham focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six last Saturday.
