St. Mary lost against Prospect Ridge Academy back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Miners. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Morgan Kelty paced St. Mary's offense, picking up two kills. Kelty got some help from Abby Phillips and her five assists.

Prospect Ridge Academy can attribute much of their success to DeLaney Ash, who had 16 assists.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, St. Mary's will face off against Colorado Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Ellicott on the 6th.
