This season hasn't been kind to the Swanton Bulldogs, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They took a 62-43 bruising from North Central on Saturday. Swanton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
North Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joe Burt led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Burt has scored at least 25% of North Central's points. Cohen Meyers was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds.
Swanton has fallen quite a ways from their 18-6 record last season and are now at 0-4. As for North Central, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Swanton will take on Otsego at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Antwerp at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Antwerp focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
