The Yuma Criminals lost against the Cibola Raiders back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The contest between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Yuma falling 65-48.
Yuma lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Max Pacheco, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Nick Amador, who made all 6 shots he took from beyond the arc racking up 9 points and 6 assists.
Yuma's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Cibola, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yuma will take on Paradise Honors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cibola, they will head out on the road to square off against San Luis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Luis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 309th, while Cibola is ranked 107th).
