There's no place like home for the Klein Forest Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They managed a 54-48 victory over Foster on Friday. Given Klein Forest's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Foster is ranked 990th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Foster still got an impressive performance from Julian Cormier, who scored 18 points along with four steals. Cormier also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. Tory Brennan was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Klein Forest's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Foster, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Klein Forest will face off against Dobie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Foster, they will head out on the road to face off against Cypress Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
