The Mesick Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They managed a 47-43 win over Baldwin. That's two games straight that Mesick has won by exactly four points.
Mesick can attribute much of their success to Cassie Sexton, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sexton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kayla McCoy, who scored 11 points along with seven steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Mesick and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Baldwin, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Mesick will be playing at home against Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Mesick's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Baldwin, they will head out on the road to challenge Brethren at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
