Dawson Futrell made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because North Moore is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-3 otherwise. Futrell was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.
