The Unicoi County Blue Devils won against the Hampton Bulldogs on Tuesday with 62 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Unicoi County walked away with a 62-52 victory over Hampton. The win was familiar territory for Unicoi County who now have three in a row.
Unicoi County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kolby Jones out in front who scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least 25% of Unicoi County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Simmons, who scored 17 points.
Unicoi County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Hampton, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Unicoi County will be playing in front of their home fans against Volunteer at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Volunteer is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. Hampton will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Chuckey-Doak at 8:00 p.m. on December 5th.
