Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Rock Falls). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Prophetstown Prophets  a   15-0 shutout  on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Rockets with their most commanding win of the  season.
 Ethan Mathews made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over four innings pitched. Mathews was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Austin Castaneda was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. That  stolen base was  his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Mason Landes, who  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI.
 Rock Falls  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .576. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
The  win  got Rock Falls back to even at 3-3-1.
 Looking ahead, Rock Falls will challenge Newman Central Catholic at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Newman Central Catholic will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something Rock Falls surely won't give up without a fight. Prophetstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
