Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mitchell). They blew past the Weeki Wachee Hornets 17-2 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-1 on Friday.
Matthew Maggio made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Mitchell is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-6 otherwise. Maggio was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
