After flying high against Families of Faith Christian Academy last Monday, Calumet Christian came back down to earth. The Calumet Christian Patriots took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timothy Christian Trojans on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 43-27 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.
Calumet Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Anna Prim, who went 9-for-20 on her way to 18 points and six boards. What's more, she also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Nora Prim was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, Calumet Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Timothy Christian only pulled down four offensive rebounds.
Leading Timothy Christian to victory were Elisabeth Van Den Berg and Sami Drye. Van Den Berg went 10-for-13 en route to 22 points and seven boards, while Drye posted 17 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.
