It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Southwestern Rebels ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They managed a 36-31 win over Eastern. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Southwestern.
Ashley Fulton was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds. The contest was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Kinsten Long was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Southwestern now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Eastern, they bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Southwestern and Martinsville will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at. As for Eastern, they will take on Columbus North at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Columbus North focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Thursday.
