The win was all the more spectacular given Quaker Valley's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Antelopes are ranked 96th).
Quaker Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joey Coyle, who scored 25 points. Coyle hasn't dropped below 18 points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Zach Washington, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Quaker Valley's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Avonworth, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.
