The Harford Tech Cobras will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Dulaney Lions at 6:45 p.m.
Harford Tech's 19-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were beaten by Fallston 52-19 last Thursday. While losing is never fun, Harford Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while Fallston is ranked 32nd).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Abi Marcello, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Jordan Strang was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Dulaney had just enough and edged New Town out 37-35 on Friday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Dulaney has scored all year.
Harford Tech has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Dulaney, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
Harford Tech didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Dulaney in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 79-74 win. Will Harford Tech repeat their success, or does Dulaney have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
