Beulah's Kamron Unruh rumbled for the longest rushing play in AA West this season in his game against Griggs-Barnes County [Griggs County Central/North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] last week. Unruh ran for 75 yards on the play and finished with 330 on the day as his team beat the Titans.
St. Mary's Central extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Watford City/Alexander/Johnson Corners Christian Academy, 23-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Beulah's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Miners feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Casey Walcker has thrown for 250 yards and 1 touchdown this season, while Landon Battest has 6 catches for 159 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Griggs-Barnes County [Griggs County Central/North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] takes on Bishop Ryan/Sawyer. As it stands, the Titans are in sixth, while the Lions are in second.
Griggs-Barnes County [Griggs County Central/North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,221 from 11,857. The improvement was largely due to a 38-20 victory over the Titans last week.
