The Northside Eagles can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They managed a 63-59 victory over Howard. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Northside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keron Milton jr., who scored 16 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Chastan Brown, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Northside's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14. As for Howard, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-12.
Northside will face off against Peach County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Peach County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 366 points over their last six matchups. Howard won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Rutland at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Rutland is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
