Basketball Recap: Providence Classical Christian Academy Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

If Eagle Ridge Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Providence Classical Christian Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Ben Mattull. The Providence Classical Christian Academy Panthers snuck past the Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles with a 38-34 win on Friday thanks in part to Mattull, who posted 19 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. His evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Stojan, who had three points and nine rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played.

Providence Classical Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Eagle Ridge Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.

Providence Classical Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-40 victory against St. Paul Lutheran on the 16th. As for Eagle Ridge Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-45 loss against Westwood Baptist Academy on the 17th.
