They came out on top against Lynchburg HomeSchool by a score of 59-52. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northern Virginia HomeSchool also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Northern Virginia HomeSchool found their leader in underclassman Zackary Fitts, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Fitts scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Peter Hatcher, who scored 11 points.
When it comes to explaining why Lynchburg HomeSchool lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ben Smith. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. Kayden Saunders was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Northern Virginia HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Lynchburg HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Northern Virginia HomeSchool will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Harrisonburg HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th. Harrisonburg HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Northern Virginia HomeSchool likes a good challenge. As for Lynchburg HomeSchool, they will square off against Shenandoah Valley HomeSchool at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
