The Coyle Bluejackets will head out on the road to face off against the Wesleyan Christian Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Coyle entered their tilt with Copan with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Coyle simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Copan 66-16 at home.
John Tarbox and Alex Jennings were among the main playmakers for Coyle as the former rushed for 183 yards while picking up 8.0 yards per carry and the latter rushed for 180 yards while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Tarbox is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
Meanwhile, Wesleyan Christian never let their opponents score on Thursday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 49-0 win over Watts. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wesleyan Christian.
Their wins bumped Coyle to 7-2 and Wesleyan Christian to 6-3.
Coyle was dealt a bruising 72-22 defeat at the hands of Wesleyan Christian in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can Coyle avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
