The Jamestown Muskies will be playing at home against the Rocky Grove Orioles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Jamestown: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Rocky Grove has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
After only 23 points in their last match, Jamestown made sure to put some points up on the board against Commodore Perry on Tuesday. Jamestown managed a 59-55 victory over Commodore Perry.
Rocky Grove suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 68-34 defeat at the hands of Farrell. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Rocky Grove has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Rocky Grove saw an underclassman step up: Landen Carter scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Carter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played.
Jamestown's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Rocky Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
Jamestown was able to grind out a solid win over Rocky Grove in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 59-50. Does Jamestown have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rocky Grove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
