The Skyview Wolverines fell victim to the Green Mountain Rams's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 69-0 defeat at the hands of the Rams. While losing is never fun, Skyview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Green Mountain is ranked 18th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Green Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dalton Poulignot, who rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 38 receiving yards. George Soppe made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Skyview's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.8 points per game. As for Green Mountain, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Skyview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Green Mountain will be playing at home against Glenwood Springs at 1:00 p.m. on November 11th.
