The Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Marion Black Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Clyde-Savannah and 14 for Marion.
Clyde-Savannah suffered their biggest defeat since December 20, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 70-47 defeat at the hands of Gananda Central. While losing is never fun, Clyde-Savannah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 754th, while Gananda Central is ranked 355th).
Meanwhile, Marion was beaten by Gananda Central 92-28 last Friday. Marion was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-15.
Clyde-Savannah's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Marion, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-12.
Everything came up roses for Clyde-Savannah against Marion in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 80-28 victory. Does Clyde-Savannah have another victory up their sleeve, or will Marion turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
