It was all tied up at the half for Edison and Woodbridge last Friday, but Edison stepped up in the second half. Edison enjoyed a cozy 35-20 win over Woodbridge. Senior Armani Bell was the offensive standout of the match for Edison, as he rushed for 57 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after a big victory against Monroe Township two weeks ago, New Brunswick came back down to earth. New Brunswick found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 13-35 punch to the gut against Sayreville. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a suprise as Sayreville enjoys a considerable advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
The last time the two teams met, Edison came out on top in a nail-biter against New Brunswick, sneaking past 26-23.
