After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial, the Kongiganak Wolverines were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 64-53 victory over Kwigillingok. Given Kongiganak's advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Kwigillingok is ranked 76th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Carson Miller, who scored 17 points. Maegan Charlie was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Kongiganak's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Kwigillingok, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8.
Kongiganak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kwigillingok also has no future games currently scheduled.
