On Thursday Vinton take on Rosepine at 7:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Vinton, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They took the contest and then some with a 46-7 win last Friday over Beau Chene. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Vinton's flat performance the game before.
Meanwhile, Rosepine put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They steamrollered North Central 44-6.
Their wins bumped Vinton to 3-2 and Rosepine to 5-0. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Rosepine and Vinton will really light up the scoreboard.
