Even though the Callaway Cavaliers scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, the Towers Titans still came out on top. Towers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Callaway 58-55. For Towers, this counts as revenge for the 70-30 defeat Callaway walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
It was another big night for Jalen Kelly, who scored 28 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Wynn, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Towers' win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Callaway, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Towers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against McNair at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. McNair is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Callaway, they will head out on the road to face off against Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Valley is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
