Briggs lost against Miami Trace back in March of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The Briggs Bruins fell victim to a  tough 15-2 defeat at the hands of the Miami Trace Panthers.
 Briggs saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cayden Mason, who  went 1-for-2 with a  triple and a  run.
 On Miami Trace's side,  Gaige Stuckey made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Stuckey was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Cooper Enochs was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-1.
 Having lost for the first time this season, Briggs  fell to 2-1. As for Miami Trace, they now  have a winning record of 2-1.
 Briggs will head out on the road to  square off against  Grove City Christian at 5:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Miami Trace, they will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against Clinton-Massie at 5:00  p.m.
