The Highline Pirates scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 81-21 win over Tyee. That 60 points margin sets a new team best for Highline this season.
Leading Highline to victory were Marquawn Mccraney and Corey Crosby. Mccraney scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Crosby dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jailyn Chavers, who scored ten points.
Highline's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Tyee, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highline will challenge Sammamish at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Sammamish knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Highline likes a good challenge. As for Tyee, they will head out on the road to challenge Foster at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
