South Glens Falls is 8-2 against Glens Falls since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The South Glens Falls Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Glens Falls Indians at 9:30 a.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
South Glens Falls suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were outmatched by Broadalbin-Perth at home and fell 58-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Glens Falls has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Glens Falls came up short against Queensbury on Monday and fell 62-52. While losing is never fun, Glens Falls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while Queensbury is ranked 49th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Darielle Gooden, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Piper Eddy, who scored 11 points.
South Glens Falls now has a losing record at 7-8. Glens Falls' record is now 10-6.
South Glens Falls came up short against Glens Falls in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 59-50. Can South Glens Falls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
