The Avon Falcons will square off against the Farmington River Hawks at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Meanwhile, Farmington entered their tilt with Conard on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   3-2 W against the Red Wolves.
Farmington got a great performance from  Grant Kintner as he  pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. The dominant performance also gave  Kintner a new career-high in  strikeouts (five).
 On the hitting side, Farmington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Juan Bisono, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Farmington's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-8. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Avon, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
