Clemente was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 39-26 to the Austin College and Career Academy Tigers. One positive for the Wildcats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Austin College and Career Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was DeAhri Hayes out in front who posted 17 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Hayes has scored at least a third of Austin College and Career Academy's points. Teasiah Smith was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Clemente's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Austin College and Career Academy, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Clemente will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Uplift at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Austin College and Career Academy will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Wells at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
