In what's become a running theme this season, IDEA Edinburg College Prep gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 59-22 win over Idea Academy on the road. IDEA Edinburg College Prep's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Despite the loss, Idea Academy still got an impressive performance from Layla Perez, who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, nine rebounds, and 11 steals. Perez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
IDEA Edinburg College Prep's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Idea Academy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.
IDEA Edinburg College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Idea Academy will head out on the road to square off against IDEA North Mission at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. IDEA North Mission comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
