Reedy is 9-1 against Creekview since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lions will head out to take on the Mustangs at 6:45 p.m. Reedy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
On Friday, Reedy beat Wakeland 7-2. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly five runs.
Malaina Boyst and Carly Sommers dominated on the mound. Boyst pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits, while Sommers pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sommers has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Reedy let Katelyn Crosby and Sierra Petersdorf run wild. Crosby earned one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Petersdorf went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Crosby is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Mady Kulp, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Creekview was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They came up short against Highland Park, falling 11-1.
Creekview has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Reedy, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Reedy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Creekview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Reedy's way against Creekview in their previous matchup on March 5th, as Reedy made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
