Concord came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Wawasee Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Minutemen not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).
Concord's got stronger as the match went on, holding Wawasee to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-12.
Carly Clauss paced Concord's offense, picking up 15 kills. Clauss got some help from Claire Campanello and her 17 assists. Campanello also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Addyson Coleman, racking up five apiece.
Concord's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Wawasee, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Looking ahead, Concord will be taking part in a tournament against South Bend Riley at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Wawasee, they will take on Garrett in a tournament on Saturday.
