For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Battle Mountain and North Tahoe meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Longhorns put the hurt on the Lakers with a sharp 17-1 victory.

Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Battle Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .622. However, it's not like Pershing County struggles in that department as they've averaged .439. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Battle Mountain's way against Pershing County when the teams last played back in March, as Battle Mountain made off with a 16-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Longhorns since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
