The Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 73-55 to Redeemer Christian. Meadowbrook Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Redeemer Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Meadowbrook Academy saw an underclassman step up: Zach Ross scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Ross continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Fonseca, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Andrew Parker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Redeemer Christian, shooting 4-for-8 from deep and dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. Parker is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Beau Suarez, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meadowbrook Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Redeemer Christian, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Aucilla Christian the next time they take the court. Meadowbrook Academy will head out to face Aucilla Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Redeemer Christian will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
