Scappoose barely beat Philomath the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians were the clear victors by  a  14-1 margin over the Warriors on Friday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by seven  runs or more this season.
 Elly Casey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Sophia Bloyd was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  triple.  Ava Vetsch was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.
 Scappoose  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Philomath only posted  an  OBP of  .263.
The  victory made it two in a row for Scappoose and  bumps their season record up to 19-6. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Philomath, they now  have a losing record of 11-12.
As of now, neither Scappoose nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
