The Butler Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Summit Christian Academy Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Butler posted their biggest win since November 30, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Skyline 62-33 on the road.
Meanwhile, Summit Christian Academy stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clinton 77-47 at home. With Summit Christian Academy ahead 49-18 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Max Rieger was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with eight steals and seven assists. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Jeffries, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Butler's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Summit Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.
Butler took a serious blow against Summit Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2018, falling 80-41. Can Butler avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
