Basketball Recap: Onsted Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Onsted strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-48 W against the Columbia Central Golden Eagles. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Eagles, too.

Leading Onsted to victory were Rylan Henagan and Bryson Sutherland. Henagan posted 23 points and seven assists, while Sutherland went 5-for-6 to rack up 14 points in addition to six rebounds and five blocks. Those 23 points gave Henagan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sean Symington, who scored five points and six boards.

Onsted's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Columbia Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Coming up, Onsted will challenge Arbor Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Columbia Central, they will square off against Tecumseh at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
